On the roadside from Varena to Vilnius

Lithuania has a national cycle route map published by the Lithuanian cyclists’ community. However, the routes on this map take major highways and are not at all marked. We found that entering Vilnius from the southwest side was treacherous. Gererally, the roads are nicely paved, and traffic was a bit more forgiving than in West Europe. We even saw new cycle ways being built (paved and marked as we cycled them!). However, in Lithuania, it was difficult to find good quality bike stores.
